About Me
I grew up in a small rural town in southern Utah where opportunities to learn about the arts could be very limited. However, I was lucky to grow up in a family of artists, musicians, and lovers of theatre—making me a lover of the arts from an early age. The catalyst that made me fall in love with art for the first time was I saw a Claude Monet painting at a museum in California. Since then I have gone on to pursue undergraduate degrees in Art History and French with a minor in Museum Studies from Southern Utah University where I am currently a Masters of Fine Arts candidate in Arts Administration.
I have worked in the museum field for 5 years with experience in managing a visitor experience team, event planning and implementation, community engagement programming, collections research, fundraising, grant writing, and content creation for social media. Through my work and experience in the arts I strive to be an advocate for arts and culture in my community. I value humanities shared connections and community that are bolstered through arts and culture. My mission in my work is to preserve and advance shared culture and humanity through arts and culture.
